AI Institute, le centre de recherche de New-York University, NYU,  dédié aux enjeux sociaux de l’intelligence artificielle, a organisé le 16 octobre 2018 son colloque annuel sur le thème : “Ethics, Organizing and Accountability“. Les débats visaient à explorer les points suivants :

1. How to translate ethical promises into meaningful accountability.
2. Shift in urgency and tactics, as academics, advocates, and tech workers organize against the unchecked influence and impact of AI systems.

Les tables rondes suivantes ont réuni des universitaires et chercheurs, des industriels, des responsables politiques ainsi que des experts de la société civile autour des thèmes suivants : Facial recognition and surveillance, Fauxtomation, Austerity, Inegality and automation, Litigating algorithms, Research, organizing and activism.
